The Corral at Indian Rock - one of the best kept secrets in Jackson NJ.
Nestled in among the Oak & Pine trees in central Jersey lies Indian Rock Campground.
Back in the early 1990's a large building was built behind the registration building with Country dancing in mind. Once known as Diamond Jim's Grand Corral, the corral has a 2,500 sq. ft. wooden dance floor, the largest in central Jersey. There is seating completely around the dance floor for easy access from anywhere you sit. Windows run down both sides of the building to make it feel open and airy. The Corral is heated and air conditioned to keep you comfortable in all weather. It is a smoke-free & alcohol-free building. There are light snacks & refreshments for sale at the snack bar.
The Corral at Indian Rock is open every Friday night for country line dancing. Admission is $8.00 per person. Doors open at 7:00PM with dancing until 11:30 PM on Friday. Around 8:00 the dance that was taught the week prior is reviewed, with the lesson of the night taught shortly after.
The Corral at Indian Rock is dancer friendly, from the beginner to the advanced dancer, we're all like family here. DJ Renegade Rich plays requests throughout the night with anywhere from 1 to 4 different dances going on at the same time, line and partner. Fun for all.
